In the morning, I tried to dress up for "World Book Character Day" (I was attempting to be Valancy Stirling from L.M. Montgomery's The Blue Castle from the late 1920s - mostly what I got was "Mrs. Thiessen, you look different."). In the evening, wearing the same ensemble, I was appreciated at the Glenn Miller Orchestra concert for coming in 1940s costume! (here with another costume wearer and my husband).
